I’ve never been one for New Year’s resolutions but this year is different. This year is my year of serious change. I spent the last month evaluating what’s not so great about my lifestyle and identifying the culprits. Turns out there’s only one culprit – Me. I need to make some serious positive changes and the first one needs to be my attitude. I want to start encouraging others more but I have to be proactive in encouraging myself. I plan to do this spiritually/mentally and physically. I also need to stop being so dang lazy when it comes to relationships. This mainly pertains to my husband and my two boys but close friends are certainly included. And I’m gonna give organization a go. Oh the changes that must be made!! One thing at a time – So to start things off:
Yesterday, I joined Weight Watchers and I’m pretty psyched. So, hopefully, that will help in the physical area. My diet must change, mainly so I can stick around to see my boys have children of their own. Plus my family’s health history is not so great to put it mildly and because of that, I have to be extra careful. I also want to stop chewing my nails and cuticles. I know it sounds trivial, but seriously, this has been a horrific habit since I was in third grade. I’m sick of being embarrassed over my hands. So that’s that. I am officially being proactive in changing myself. Let’s see where this takes me. I will keep you updated! Happy New Year!
