Quick Resolution Update and a MAC Makeup Super Hero

Okay, so I realize it’s only been about four days since I declared all the changes that I plan to make this year but one change has seriously been just that – Serious change.  As I’ve said before, I started Weight Watchers last week and it’s day four.  I’m  incredibly surprised at just my energy level alone.  Now, that I’m incorporating a significant amount of fruits and veggies in my diet along with at least eight cups of water a day, I feel like I can take on the world!  Even my attitude has changed.  I mean, it’s one thing to hear it from others but to experience yourself!?  This isn’t new, but it’s new for me and I pretty much love the way I feel!  Sure, I haven’t seen the physical effects yet, but I’ve certainly felt them and, gosh darn it, they feel pretty amazing!

Okay okay.  Enough about me – How’s about some makeup talk?

I’ve mentioned this MAC eye shadow before but I feel it deserves more than a mere mention.  The name is Sable.  The game is… I got nothin’.   Cleverness has escaped me today.  Anywho, yes, Sable.  It’s finish is a frost so it has a nice shimmer.  The color is definitely in the brown family but it has hints of plum which, in my opinion, separate it from just a hum drum brown.

Typically, I wear Sable in my crease but I’ve also worn it on my lid and crease on my lazy, “one shade wearing” days.  It has awesome versatility allowing you to wear it with just about any shade of eye shadow.  I also like to line it over my bottom liner to soften it a bit when need be.  Oh, and I wore this shade in my crease for my wedding day makeup (over eight years ago).

In summary, if you don’t have it, go get it.  You will thank me.  I promise.

Price – $15 or $12 if you have MAC’s eye shadow pan

A super hero because the color goes with just about any other color plus it’s great with just about any skin tone.

On another note – This is like my favorite thing ever!  I got it two years ago for Christmas but, I don’t know, I love it so much, I felt I needed to share it.

I just heart it!

Later on, lovelies!

About Katie

I'm a stay at home mother of two boys that are eleven months a part (what were we thinking!?) When I was 17, I got a job at a high-end cosmetic line. I'm so thankful for that experience because it jump started my passion for makeup and makeup artistry. My hubby and my boys are my life but I do long for my makeup days so I created a blog to share my opinions on all things makeup.

I’ve been wondering where you’ve been! Hopefully another resolution is to blog more because you’re funny, and I need something fun to read while rocking Max! I love Weight Watchers! Sometimes losing a pound a week doesn’t seem like much, but it’ s better than gaining a pound a week! It all adds up! (Look at all the !’ s… apparently I’m REALLY excited!)
