I lost a brick!

Woot!  5.6 lbs. gone and never to return!  After ONE week on Weight Watchers, I lost 5.6 lbs.  Now, keep in mind, I am nursing. And producing 20 oz of milk burns about 530 calories but I actually have extra points to account for that.  The average weight loss is around 1 to 2 lbs per week.

So yeah, 5.6!  That’s like losing a…

I’m pretty flippin’ excited.  And you know what?  That 5.6 lbs. includes a trip to Qdoba (queso chicken burrito with ALL the fixins) and Applebees (Tequila Lime Chicken with LOTS of cheese)!  I can see a light at the end of this fat tunnel!  Hooray!

My latest discovery is Stretch Island Fruit Strips.  I have a serious sweet tooth for fruity candy (Starbursts, Skittles, Fruit Rollups, Gummi Bears… you get the point) and their fruit strips do the trick!  They’re 1 point each – 45 Calories, fat free, and around 12 carbs.  Nom. Nom. Nom.

You can get them at just about any grocery store or you can go to stretchislandfruit.com and order whatever you want.  Strawberry and grape are my fave but they have a few more flavors.

My week certainly ended on a high note and I expect nothing less for this week!  Any and all encouragement is welcome and I will reciprocate!

Any other weight friendly treats I need to know about??  Please share!

I'm a stay at home mother of two boys that are eleven months a part (what were we thinking!?) When I was 17, I got a job at a high-end cosmetic line. I'm so thankful for that experience because it jump started my passion for makeup and makeup artistry. My hubby and my boys are my life but I do long for my makeup days so I created a blog to share my opinions on all things makeup.

a 5 pound loss is something to be excited about. I say if you’re not gaining, even if you’re not losing is a good thing. You’re making it look easy.

Thanks for the encouraging word, Sheri!! I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s easy but it’s certainly the easiest weight loss program I’ve tried thus far. And you have to remember… I’m still a nursing mother so that burns a bunch of calories in itself.
